O BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 aconteceu na noite do último dia 30, diretamente de Atlanta, nos EUA, e teve Kendrick Lamar como o grande vencedor. A cerimônia contou com apresentações de David Danner, Lil’ Kim, Wu-Tang Clan, GloRilla, Dead Prez, Remy Ma e Thee 6 Mafia.
Drake e Kanye West lideravam em indicações, concorrendo em 14 e 10, respectivamente. Kendrick Lamar aparecia logo depois como 09 nomeações, e levou a melhor em cinco categorias, incluindo "Álbum do Ano". Lizzo venceu na categoria "Faixa de Impacto" por "About Damn Time", e Latto levou a melhor em "Canção do Ano", pelo hit "Big Energy".
